With over 150 years of combined funeral service experience, the Boyd and Panciera families have dedicated themselves to providing quality funeral care to the South Florida community for generations. This long term commitment has caused many to ask us to share the story of our heritage with them . . .
Don and Kathy Boyd began the funeral service legacy in 1950 with Boyd’s Funeral Home which soon became Boyd’s Family Funeral Homes when there sons, Patrick & Larry joined the business. Shortly after opening their first funeral home, Don & Kathy hired a young man by the name of Jerry Lowery, who too shared their vision for the profession. Mr. Lowery then became a partner in a successful Miami Funeral Home, and, like the Boyd’s & Panciera’s, raised his son, David, in the industry as well. David Lowery became a one of the top funeral care managers in South Florida and beyond, earning national recognition for his expertise.
In 1962, the Pancieras opened their funeral home in Hollywood and after college, Mark Panciera joined the family firm to carry on as the third generation of Pancieras to care for those suffering a loss. Mark eventually purchased the Funeral Home in 1993 and after growing the business to include Alternative Funeral & Cremation Care and The Memorial Stores and Funeraria Panciera, brought David Lowery in as a partner to continue and expand the family tradition.
Combining the experience of the Boyd’s, Panciera’s and Lowery’s, equals an unsurpassed 150 years of compassionate care to South Florida. Now, many years after the start of it all, the “next” generation of innovative, caring founders have joined together to provide the best service possible to our community. And in the face of ever changing times, the Boyds, Pancieras and Lowerys are cornerstones in the community; enduring names, and reputations that can be counted on for generations to come.
